Services Available in Winter

As winter approaches the cold weather can adversely affect the health and wellbeing of many of Toronto's homeless.  People experiencing homelessness are at high risk for cold weather injuries because they are likely to spend long periods of time outside, resulting in increased exposure.  Homeless people are vulnerable to direct health impacts of cold weather such as hypothermia, frostbite.  Here are four services available to ensure everyone has an opportunity to stay out of the cold.

1) In case of emergency call 911.

2) If you or someone you know needs street outreach call 311.

3) Find the Out of the Cold (OOTC) 2019-2020 Season Calendar here. https://dixonhall.org/blog-post/the-out-of-the-cold-2019-2020-season-calendar-is-here/
