Supporting Clients through Winter and COVID-19
Community Conversation: Supporting Clients through Winter and COVID-19
Ongoing Covid-19 pandemic restrictions have caused significant shifts in the ways our agencies traditionally offered services to clients. Moreover, with ongoing lockdowns, we are all having to learn new and innovative ways of keeping informed and up to date on the changing landscape of services and supports available to our clients and their varying and unique needs.
During our first Community Conversation of 2021, we will discuss these impacts as well as some of the initiatives and resources currently available for referral. We will think through how the City of Toronto Winter Plan for People Experiencing Homelessness helps – including challenges identified by advocates – and use small group discussions to share strategies we have each come up with on how to support clients through the challenges associated with COVID-19 and winter.
Join EYET as we facilitate a community conversation, for housing professionals, to share skills and discuss this issue. This event will take place online to discuss:
- What are the unique challenges to providing services during a Covid-19 in the winter?
- What new services exist to meet the shifting needs of clients?
- What services are missing?
- What services and resources are currently available for referrals?
